Rodos Island,
Greece... Rodos is the
third largest of the Greek islands and the administrative centre
of the Dodecanese group of islands situated in the south east
Aegean sea.
Its size, geographical position and administrative importance
were instrumental in the development of modern meeting
facilities needed for small and large groups alike.
The range of facilities varies from basic, for small informal
meetings such as sales meetings, to full scale international
congresses and conferences. Rhodes has all the requirements
needed by the present day sophisticated organizer.
ACCESSIBILITY is easy from
any part of the world. During the summer season the
International Airport handles efficiently hundreds of flights
every week. Olympic Airways, Aegean Airlines also operate over
ten flights daily from Athens, the main gateway of south eastern
Europe.
TRANSPORT is plentiful and
efficient whether public or private. There arc hundreds of
air-conditioned coaches. The taxi service is frequent and
inexpensive.
MEETING PLACES Rhodes boasts
fully equipped with modern technology conference halls which can
accommodate from a handful of delegates to over 6.000 in either
theatre or class room style.
HOTELS There are many modern
and well appointed hotels able to accommodate the participants
in comfort. Whether you are looking for small budget hotels or
large ones of international standards, Rhodes has them in
abundance.
THINGS TO DO AND SEE Rhodes
is ideal for pre and post convention tours and excursions.
Whether the program includes the archeological sites and
monuments of Rhodes with their breathtaking beauty or one of the
many neighboring islands the delegates and of course their
spouses will be enthrilled, and remember the meeting for a long
time.
ENTERTAINMENT is available
for all tastes and budgets. An abundance of restaurants and
tavernas serve mouth watering Greek and international dishes to
satisfy even the most difficult customer.
The night life offers a wide choice. Bouzouki clubs with the
typical bouzouki music, Greek dancing (with audience
participation) and singing is a must. International cabaret
shows and of course the discos for the energetic delegates.
CLIMATE Rhodes enjoys a very
mild and dry climate, with no winter to speak of. The
temperature usually does not drop below 15° C (58° F) and days
without any sunshine are rare. Rainfall is low and is usually in
January / February. |
